Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Implement
  Define system designs for complex financial processes and write production-level Java code that brings these architectures to life—balancing performance, security, and scalability.
• Hands-On Coding & Debugging
  Actively develop, review, and optimise code; troubleshoot critical issues in real time, ensuring efficient, high-quality output.
• Full Development Lifecycle Ownership
  Oversee projects from concept to deployment, coordinating with Product, Security, and DevOps. Guarantee compliance with regulatory standards while meeting ambitious performance targets.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  Guide junior developers, lead by example through detailed code reviews, and champion engineering best practices such as continuous integration and automation.
• Continuous Innovation
  Research and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to keep our fintech platform at the cutting edge—and share these advancements across the team.

Candidate Requirements

• Professional Experience
  At least 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (preferably Spring or other modern frameworks), with a proven track record in designing or architecting high-performance back-end systems.
• Agile Mindset
  Comfortable working in an agile development environment, adapting to changing requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving & Detail Orientation
  Able to tackle complex technical challenges with creativity and rigour; attentive to best practices, from code quality to system scalability.
• Communication & Teamwork
  Excellent spoken and written English (C1 level or equivalent), plus a knack for knowledge sharing and mentoring in a dynamic, distributed team setting.
• Educational Background
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Technical Proficiencies
  Familiarity with micro services, RESTful APIs, and both SQL and NoSQL databases. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing is a plus.
• Adaptability
  Capable of embracing new tools, frameworks, and methods to keep our fintech solutions at the forefront of the industry.

Location & Work Authorisation

This position is based onsite in Limassol, Cyprus, or Tallinn, Estonia.

• Non-EU/EEA candidates must already have full legal authorisation to work in Cyprus or Estonia at the time of application. A work permit from another EU/EEA country does not automatically allow employment in Cyprus or Estonia, and we cannot provide visa sponsorship or process new work permit applications.
